Our Story

A small brand with a simple observation

Intimate-care products tend to do one of two things: overpromise with miracle language, or talk down to you. We started Femme Evoke because we wanted a third option — good oil, plainly described.

How It Started

From an observation to a bottle

We are a small independent team, not a big-brand skincare house. The idea for Femme Evoke came from reading the labels and the marketing around intimate care and noticing the same pattern everywhere: either miracle claims that no cosmetic oil can honestly make, or a condescending tone that assumed you couldn't handle an ingredient list.

So we kept it simple. One cold-pressed grapeseed base, five botanical characters — from the pure, unscented Original to rose, vetiver, lavender and ylang-ylang. Our formulas are made in small batches in Bali, where our partner workshop works with plant oils every day.

We sell online to Canada and the US under oillifecanada.com — no storefronts, no middlemen, just bottles that say exactly what is in them.

The Craft

How we make it

Making a good oil is mostly a matter of restraint: fresh raw materials, careful handling, and nothing added that doesn't earn its place.

  • Small batches — we make oil in quantities we can sell while it is fresh, not warehouse for years
  • Cold-pressed oils — extra-virgin grapeseed and jojoba, pressed without heat that degrades fatty acids
  • Dark glass — every bottle is amber glass to protect the oil from light
  • Batch dates — the manufacture date is printed on every bottle, so you always know how fresh it is
  • ≤1% essential oils — our infusions stay at or below a 1% dilution, a conservative leave-on level for sensitive skin
  • Unscented option first — The Original contains no fragrance at all, and it is always our first recommendation

The Workshop

Made in Bali

Bali has a long, living tradition of working with plant oils — coconut, botanical macerations, massage blends — and a cosmetic craft culture built around them. Our partner workshop there handles plant oils daily, which is exactly the kind of routine familiarity you want from the people blending your oil.

The pace is unhurried by design. Batches are blended, bottled in dark glass, dated and checked by hand. It is a workshop, not a factory line — and at our size, that is a feature, not a limitation.

When a batch is ready, it ships to our fulfillment point and then on to you in Canada or the US, in plain, discreet packaging.

Our Line

What we won't do

Some of the sharpest decisions in this brand are the things we refuse to say.

  • No medical claims. Our oils moisturize and condition external skin. They do not treat, cure, balance or prevent anything — and we will never write copy that hints otherwise.
  • No fake reviews. You won't find invented testimonials or purchased star ratings here.
  • No miracle language. "Detox", "rejuvenate", "restore your feminine energy" — that vocabulary sells, and we leave it to others.
