Why Rose

Thousands of petals in every drop

Rose otto is among the most precious essential oils in the world — it takes thousands of hand-picked Rosa damascena petals, steam-distilled at dawn, to yield a single drop. That scarcity is why so many "rose" products settle for synthetic substitutes. We didn't.

The real thing smells nothing like rose-scented soap. It is soft, honeyed and slightly green — closer to a garden after rain than a perfume counter. At 1% or less, it stays a private note: you notice it during your ritual, not across the room.

Rose has kept its place in rituals of self-love and romance for centuries. We chose it for that association, and for how quietly beautiful it makes an everyday moment feel.

  • Steam-distilled Rosa damascena otto — no synthetic rose fragrance
  • Diluted to 1% or less, a leave-on level suited to delicate skin
  • Soft, honeyed scent character — never soapy or perfumey

Everything in the bottle

INCI: Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Rosa Damascena Flower Oil.

Cold-pressed grapeseed oil, extra-virgin grade, with steam-distilled damask rose otto at 1% or less. No parabens, no sulfates, no mineral oil, no synthetic fragrance, no dyes. Vegan; not tested on animals.

Transparency note: rose oil naturally contains citronellol and geraniol — fragrance allergens that occur in the flower itself, not additives. We list them so you can make an informed choice; if you know you react to either, choose the unscented Original.

Good to know: plant oils weaken latex and polyisoprene condoms. Keep oil-based products away from latex barriers. For external use only.

FAQ

Common questions

How much rose oil is in the bottle?

Rose otto makes up 1% or less of the formula — the dilution level widely considered safe for leave-on use on sensitive skin. The other 99% is the same grapeseed, jojoba and vitamin E base as The Original.

Can I use Rose Yoni Oil on sensitive skin?

Many people with sensitive skin tolerate a 1% dilution well, but every skin is different. Always do a 48-hour patch test on your inner forearm first. If your skin reacts to fragrance easily, choose the unscented Original instead — it contains no essential oils at all.

Is it safe to use with condoms?

No. Like all plant oils, it can weaken latex and polyisoprene condoms. Do not combine oil-based products with latex barriers.

What is the shelf life?

12 months from the manufacture date printed on the packaging, stored in a cool, dark place.
